We are a not for profit community run. Please don't confuse us for other corporate mud runs.
We delight in creating this run for you every year as a way to share our shore: a place that is very special to all of us. Here's who's behind the Not Since Moses:
Dick Lemon:  Founder of the Not Since Moses in 2008 who is still our inspiration and mentor.
Our volunteer executive committee:
Tiff Ward: Executive Director & Marketing Co-Director
Tiff Ward is the new executive director of the Not Since Moses Run taking over from Joyce for the 2020 race.  She is a lifelong resident of the Five Islands and Economy and has volunteered with the Run for several years.  She has worked on a number of committees and projects with the goal of enhancing the area’s profile as an idyllic place to visit, live, work and play.
Gerry Roberts: Community Partnership Director & Marketing Co-Director
Gerry Roberts and his wife Judy moved to Five Islands in 1998 after he retired from the Alumni Relations Department at Western University.  Shortly after arriving they met Dick Lemon, the founder of our Run.  Needless to say, Dick got them both involved in the Run right away, a volunteer role they continue to play to this day.
Greg Dickey:  Sponsorship Director and Logistics Co-Director
This is Greg’s first year with the board and is excited to be part of the new team for 2020. Greg being brought up in Truro has close ties to the area and has been hiking in the area for almost a decade. He brings with him experience in organizing and running charity events.
Nick Patocka:  Volunteer Director and Logistics Co-Director
Nick is an avid runner with several years’ experience as a race coordinator. He was a co-founder of the Baie Sainte-Marie Marathon in the Clare region, where he sat on the board for 2 years.  He`s excited to bring his expertise and passion for running to this event.
Joyce Eagles:  Finance
Joyce is a long time Not Since Moses volunteer and has just retired from the executive director role that she had held since 2015.  She, and her partner Veryle, are both life long residents of Five Islands, and have contributed to their community across a variety of volunteer roles for decades.  We are so pleased that Joyce has decided to continue on with our board as treasurer.
Moses: Well, that's a secret!!
Plus over 100 fabulous local volunteers who assist us every year with run logistics, course marking, registrations, kit pickup, parking, welcoming, course monitoring, and plenty of other tasks! You'll see them proudly wearing volunteer shirts on registration and race day!
